Our Prosthetics & SFX fanatics team thrives on collaboration that bleeds outside the lines. Think medically accurate wounds for ER training, nightmare fuel for horror films, and storytelling so visceral it leaves scars.

The Spark
In 2020, the pandemic didn’t just disrupt my career, it burned it to the ground. After a decade of entrepreneurship in multi-level marketing, mentoring teams, and teaching makeup artistry, I stood at a crossroads.
Growing up in an underprivileged minority community, I’d been told creativity was a luxury I couldn’t afford. But when the world shut down, I chose rebellion: I returned to art, my first love.
The Turning Point
In 2022, I enrolled as a mature student, trading boardrooms for prosthetics labs. My Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Hair and Media Makeup wasn’t just a qualification but a revelation. I discovered trauma simulation, where artistry meets urgency, and every scar tells a story. From silicone burns to bullet wounds, I realized SFX wasn’t just about illusion—it was about impact.
I dove deeper, pursuing a postgraduate degree at University College Birmingham. There, I revived old passions (sculpting, drawing) and mastered new ones (encapsulated silicone, hyper-realistic injury design). But the real lesson? Diamonds form under pressure.
The Flame Ignites
By 2023, collaboration had become my weapon.
'War of the Mermaids and Pirates' is a project uniting photographers, barbers, and SFX artists. I founded the Black Diamonds Creative Team. Later, assisting 'Shaun of the Dead' SFX legend Dan Frye at a premier prosthetics event, I learned that great art thrives in the fray.

In 2024, I claimed a Creative Starter Programme residency at Urban Hax, Walsall, refining techniques under industry mentors. Today, Black Diamonds Creations FX isn’t just a studio. It’s a rebellion.
